The Institute upgrade preview shows Research Speed rising 5% per level from Level 2 and stopping at +100% on Level 21.
Four more Institute levels follow, and the Research Speed column does not move on any of them. 🔬
The Institute upgrade preview lists Lvl, Research Speed, and Power for every level from 1 to 25. This guide reads only the Research Speed column, level by level. Power and upgrade costs are a separate question, and this guide does not judge them. If you upgrade the Institute mainly to research faster, the shape of this column matters for planning. 🏛️
🔬 The Climb
Level 1 prints +0%. Level 2 prints +5%, and every level after that adds exactly 5 points: Level 3 shows +10%, Level 4 shows +15%, and so on. Level 10 shows +45%. Level 15 shows +70%. Level 20 shows +95%. Counted from Level 1, that is twenty +5% steps with no skipped level and no double step.
📍 The Ceiling
Level 21 prints +100%. That is the highest Research Speed value the preview shows anywhere. Levels 22, 23, 24, and 25 all print +100% again. Whether some other screen adds more is not yet confirmed, so this guide does not claim it.
🧭 Where Your Queue Goes
- Level 21 is the last Institute level that raises the Research Speed column.
- Levels 22 to 25 still print a rising Power number. If Power matters to you, that is a reason to continue, and Research Speed is not.
- If your alliance is active, ask for Alliance Help on Institute upgrades so the long upgrades near Level 21 finish sooner.
- Players who log in rarely can park the Institute at Level 21 for now and let other buildings catch up, without losing anything in this column.
A main bonus can look like it should grow until the level cap. Are you planning to stop at Level 21, or does the Power column still pull you toward Level 25?
