Alliance Technology Donation increases the Technology Value. When the Technology Value is full, the current Technology adds a Star. You can Research when the Stars are full. So donation moves the Technology Value, and the research step comes after the stars fill. 📈

🏪 Contribution Use

Donating also increases your Alliance Contribution, and the Alliance receives the corresponding Alliance Points. You can spend Alliance Contribution in the Alliance Store on some special items. 🛒

I used to think a full donation bar meant the tech was done. The text puts research after the stars fill, and only R4 and R5 may take that step.
