Donating Gems to alliance technology costs more each time that day, then resets at the next server reset. 💎
Every additional Gem donation you make to the same alliance technology on the same day costs more than the one before it, up to a fixed ceiling, and the price only drops back down after the server crosses into a new day.
This guide covers the Gem donation option inside Alliance Technology research and how its price actually behaves. It does not cover the regular resource donation option, which stays at a flat cost per donation, or how research points convert into alliance tech levels.
💎 Price Climbs Per Donation
Alliance Technology research takes two kinds of contributions: regular resources at a flat cost, or Gems through the fast donate option. Gems aren't flat. Your first Gem donation to a given technology that day starts cheap, and every additional donation you personally make to that same technology adds a fixed amount on top of the last price.
🔒 There's A Daily Ceiling
That climb doesn't go on forever. Once the price hits a fixed ceiling, it stops rising and just sits there no matter how many more times you donate that day. Across the alliance technologies checked for this guide, the ceiling lands at exactly fifty times the starting price, so the math scales the same way whether a given tech starts cheap or expensive.
🌅 It Resets Overnight
The counter behind this price is tracked per player, per technology, and it only resets when the server crosses into a new day. Donate ten times on the same tech today and the price stays elevated for the rest of today. Come back tomorrow and your first donation on that tech is back to the cheap starting price.
🤝 Spread It Across Members
Here's the practical part. One player dumping Gems into a single technology alone hits that ceiling fast and keeps paying the max price on every donation after. Five members each making a handful of cheap early donations on the same tech squeeze more total progress out of the same Gem budget than one member grinding it solo.
Is your alliance funding tech with one member maxing out the price ceiling, or with donations spread across members who are still on the cheap end of the curve?
