I saw that the toxic algae bloom, labeled the worst in years, spread from Ross Island lagoon and forced two summer events along the Willamette River to get canceled. Big shock. This is entirely predictable when basic environmental maintenance gets pushed aside for other priorities. Not impressed in the slightest. It’s the same cycle every time. Ignore the warning signs, let the problem escalate, then scramble to mitigate the damage after it’s already too late. Meh.
