Meet the Peel P50. Built on the Isle of Man in the early 1960s, it's the smallest production car ever made, 134cm long, roughly the size of an armchair.
Three wheels, a 49cc engine borrowed from a moped, top speed around 38 mph. No reverse gear either. Need to back up? Get out and lift it around by the handle on the back.
The original 1960s ad said it plainly: designed to seat "one adult and a shopping bag." 🛍️
