The remake RE fans had been waiting on while RE2 and RE3 got theirs. First-person horror direction, its own timeline. PS5 / Xbox Series X|S / Switch 2 / Steam. 2027.

🏁 How it closed — Final Fantasy VII Revelation

FF7 Remake Part 3 has a name, a trailer, and a spring 2027 simultaneous launch on PS5 / Xbox Series / Switch 2 / PC. Matt Mercer on stage as Vincent Valentine. Cid Highwind and the Highwind confirmed. Theme: "resolve." This is the end of the trilogy.

👁️ The announcements that hit hardest

Alien: Isolation 2 — Creative Assembly returns after 12 years. Setting moved from spaceship to colony — an Alien-to-Aliens scale shift. No release date. First footage.

genATLAS (Fumito Ueda) — Shadow of the Colossus creator's "Project Robot" finally has a title and trailer. Tiny human, colossal robot, vast sci-fi world. First Ueda game coming to PC.

Wolf Among Us 2 — Announced, cancelled, quietly resumed, then gone for years. It's out 2027. Wolf Among Us Remastered holiday 2026.

Guild Wars 3 — Confirmed. New MMO from ArenaNet, focus on movement and momentum. Beta: Fall 2027.

🎮 Cuphead Sequel + Mighty Cuphead Adventure — Studio MDHR announced two games simultaneously. The sequel is a full continuation of the original. Mighty Cuphead Adventure is a spin-off with a new art direction. No dates for either.

👊 Tifa in Street Fighter 6 — Year 4 DLC adds Yasmine, Arjun, Bosch, and Tifa. SGF decided it was Square Enix day and nobody argued.

🐢 TMNT: The Last Ronin — Platinum Games. That sentence carries its own weight.

⚔️ Star Wars: Zero Company — X-COM-style turn-based strategy. Anakin Skywalker is in it. August 27.

🩸 Stellar Blade: Blood Rain — No one expected a full reveal trailer at SGF. Shift Up's sequel has a new protagonist and continues after the first game's ending. It exists.

🕵️ 1666: Amsterdam — Patrice Désilets' long-lost project, finally here. No release date.

🕵️ Stranger Than Heaven (RGG / Yakuza studio) — Out January 15, 2027. New trailer confirmed Tupac as a playable character alongside Snoop Dogg. RGG continues to be unhinged in the best way.

🧛 The Blood of Dawnwalker — New trailer for the vampire RPG from ex-Witcher 3 developers. Still the most visually compelling new IP of the past year.

🐉 Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance — Expansion confirmed. Master Rank, Elder Dragons, airship traversal. 2027.
