FAQs on Clash of Factions: Conquer
Dear Commander,
In previous posts, we gave you an overview of the “Clash of Factions: Conquer” mode and its rules. Many Commanders still have some questions on the mode. We also received many suggestions and feedback from Commanders.
For this reason, we sorted out several questions Commanders care about most and listed them in the FAQs. Feel free to leave a comment below if you still have questions about the mode.
Q: Can I sign up for the Clash of Factions: Conquer as an individual participant?
A: Yes. You may sign up for the mode as either individual or Alliance participant.
Q: Can I join a Guild if I sign up for the Clash of Factions: Conquer as an individual participant?
A: An individual participant will be assigned to a random Faction out of the four Factions and can join any Guild in the Faction.
Q: Can I join other Guilds after the inter-Sector Checkpoint is broken through?
A: No. You can’t. You can only join a Guild in the original Faction.
Q: Is there any cooldown time between quitting an Alliance and joining a new one?
A: No. You may join a new Alliance right away.
Q: How to get Merits?
A: Merits can be obtained from Faction missions, occupying cities and plundering from other Commanders.
Q: What can I get by occupying cities in the Clash of Factions: Conquer? Will I get Merits by doing so?
A: When your Guild occupies a neutral city/Checkpoint, all Guild members can get Merits. When taking an occupied city from another Guild, you will not get Merits. That is to say, what matters is speed. You will gain a huge edge for your Guild and Faction, if you can occupy neutral cities ahead of other Guilds.
Compared with ordinary cities, the Capital can not only provide rewards for the first capturer, but also keep generating Merits. All Guild members will get some Merits based on the duration they occupy the Capital. Do not abandon the Capital easily once you occupy it.
The World Center cannot yield Merits continuously, yet it will bring your Guild additional Merits in the tally phase.
Q: How many Merits can I plunder from another Commander in a single battle?
A: Some Merits will be plundered in every battle between Commanders of different Factions (Merits cannot be plundered from Commanders of the same Faction). The winning side will plunder some Merits from the losing side based on the Power loss and their gap in Merits.
Specifically, if the opponent loses more Power, you will plunder more Merits. If the opponent has more Merits, you will plunder more Merits.
Q: In an attack on the Base of another commander, if many troops are garrisoned there, can I plunder Merits?
A: When more than one battle happens at the same time (as when many troops are garrisoned at the Base you attack), the Merits will be calculated separately in each minor battle. Therefore, you are advised to train a troop strong enough before attacking to get a better result.
When you break into an enemy Base and cause some Destruction, you will get a large amount of Merits based on the Destruction you make and the Merits of the enemy. Please do consolidate the defense and do not let others destroy your Base.
