Genghis Khan Is Tagged Siege, But 4 of His 8 Core Skills Buff Footmen
Genghis Khan's battle position is Siege, but 4 of his 8 skills are named directly after Footmen troops.

Checked Genghis Khan's hero card the same way. His battle position comes back as Siege. That's the label shown on his profile, and it's the one a lot of players glance at first when deciding where he fits.
Footmen Get Buffed
His four level-scaling passives (the two formation skills, the awakening skill, and the defensive order skill) all target Footmen, which is this game's term for infantry troops. The Chinese skill names spell it out directly with the infantry character, and the fourth passive is even titled "Defensive Order - Footmen" in plain English. No ambiguity on that last one. 🐺
Pattern Holds Up
What's mildly funny is that the English names for the other three passives (just "Defensive Formation," "Offensive Formation," "Awaken") don't spell out the troop type the way the Chinese version does. But cross-checking both language versions against the same skill IDs shows they're the same four Footmen-targeted passives.
Squad Choice Matters
Add his special skills like Hunting Wolf and Twin Hawks, which restore or damage without naming a troop type either way, and the overall picture is a Siege-tagged hero whose core growth skills are entirely infantry focused.
When you deploy Genghis Khan, are you pairing him with Footmen squads to match his actual skill kit, or still defaulting to Siege units because of the tag? 🤔
