Alliance territory grows from the Alliance Command, then from Sentry Towers placed next to land you already hold.
The next tower either goes down now on an adjacent tile, or it stays unplaced until the Alliance Command connection still holds.
What This Means
Alliance Command provides the first territory. Sentry Towers expand that territory, but they have to stay connected to the Alliance Command to keep their effect. How much one tower adds, how many towers the alliance currently holds, and any score gap between a placed tower and a held tower are not yet confirmed. Open the alliance territory panel and read which tiles are actually adjacent before you place.
Do not assume every empty tile next to your land can take a tower. Confirm the tile is adjacent and still connected.
How to Use It
Pick place or hold against the tiles that are open now, not against a habit of dropping every tower as soon as it unlocks.
- If an adjacent tile is open, the Alliance Command connection still holds, and that tile is the one the alliance actually wants, place the Sentry Tower there. Community experience: one connected tower is still one expansion, not a tower sitting in the bag.
- If the next tile would break the connection, or the Alliance Command is not yet placed, hold the tower. Holding is a skip, not a claim that later tiles always score more.
- If you are unsure whether the tile stays connected, read the territory panel first. Name the tile, then place or hold. That is a check, not a preference.
Do not copy another alliance's tower screenshot. Adjacent tiles and connection rules can differ by what the panel currently shows.
Watch Out For
Placing every unlocked tower at once can put a tower on a tile that later loses the Alliance Command connection. Holding every tower can leave adjacent land unclaimed until this unlock is gone. Community experience: "drop it anywhere next to us" often becomes a disconnected tower at half effect. Set the tile before you place, not after the tower is already down.
