Diana sits in the siege slot, but the verified formation kit is written for cavalry.
The pairing that matches the data is siege position on the hero, cavalry troops in the march. A siege-engine fill uses the slot and leaves the cavalry kit idle.
What This Means
The hero card shows a siege position tag. The formation skills face cavalry. Position decides where she can be slotted. Skill text decides which troops benefit. Those two layers are not the same job. A march with no cavalry carries the slot and none of the kit payoff. Community-experience framing: fill the siege slot, then put cavalry in the march so the formations have a target. The siege tag does not turn her into an engine specialist.
How to Use It
Use this when you expect a mobile catch that still needs the siege hero slot filled: a field fight that should close fast, reinforcement that has to arrive on time, or open ground where cavalry can choose the contact. The siege tag only decides the hero slot. The skills pay off if cavalry are actually present.
The confirmed troop cycle is infantry beats cavalry, cavalry beats archers, and archers beat infantry. There is no fixed global percent; tech and hero skills stack on top of that cycle. The forward pairing is a cavalry catch into archers who need a shooting lane. Cavalry that close the gap can cut that lane. That is a matchup read, not a ranking and not a promise about every fight.
Watch Out For
Infantry can flip it if they refuse the chase, plant, and turn the fight into a grind. Do not loop in front of a braced line. Force a short field catch instead of a long hold. If infantry never get to plant, Diana keeps the catch window.
Archers can still flip it if they keep a clean shooting lane and cavalry never arrive. Hold distance, do not get pinned, and end the fight before contact. If cavalry already reached you, stop kiting and either accept the brawl or disengage. Community-experience framing: cavalry beats archers only while the gap stays closed, and infantry beats cavalry only while the fight stays planted.
A castle defense or a narrow approach also cuts the space a cavalry fill wants. If you match the siege tag with engines and leave cavalry out, the formations have no cavalry to cover.
Diana pays off when the siege slot is filled and the march is cavalry. She does not pay off as a specialist siege kit. When you field Diana, do you fill cavalry to match her skills, or engines to match her position tag?
