Just finished a lazy ranked match, earl grey still warm by my setup, when I spotted One-Punch Man Season 3 on Netflix. My old gaming buddy Jake was over, we used to geek out over how smooth S1’s animations were back in the day, replaying the best bits between matches. We hit play. Five minutes in, we went quiet. The animation was so sloppy, like rushing a ranked match just to check it off. Jake sighed, grabbed my spare tea mug, and we switched back to our loot grind. Some franchise things aren’t worth the effort, even if you love ‘em.
