I just saw the trailer for Bloody Tennis, and I’m actually really stoked about this one. The line “the ball is a living thing!” stuck with me immediately. It’s such a weird, specific hook that feels way more unsettling than generic jump scares. Elite tennis academies already have that intense, cutthroat vibe, so wrapping a horror story around that makes total sense. It’s like last year’s football horror but set in a European tennis camp, fresh, tense, and exactly my kind of indie horror. I’m marking my calendar for its Shudder drop in September.
