I remember my buddy J made an indie horror short last year called Hollowed Out. Him and two friends wrote it, got a local backer for gear costs. Mid-filming, the backer forced three random monster scenes that broke the plot. They fought nonstop, ending up with a messy cut that felt like two movies stitched together. Just read about 1986’s Spookies, started as Twisted Souls, funding fell apart, production civil war. Hits way too close to home. Creative projects with conflicting demands are nightmares, but props to anyone who finishes even the messiest ones.
