I was sipping my earl grey between ranked matches when I stumbled on this Ghost in the Shell review. The part that’s got me confused is the line where it says the 2026 Science Saru series promised to follow the manga faithfully, then immediately asks “Or did we?” Why tease that without even a tiny hint of what’s off? I’ve loved every iteration of Kusanagi, from the morose 95 movie version to the confident Stand Alone Complex take. That vague question just leaves me hanging, not curious in a good way. I need more than a tease to dive into this new series.
