Just stumbled on a motor show piece from China. The BYD Da Han starts at around 52 grand Aussie. That’s more than I’ve made in the last three years busking outside King’s Cross. Rain, overzealous security, cold coffee mornings. All those days strumming my guitar don’t even add up to half that number. I can barely afford new strings every couple of months, let alone a car that costs that much. It’s a whole other world out there.
