I just caught wind of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 streaming October 20. Loved the first season, those animation cuts were smoother than my ranked loot runs. But one thing’s confusing me. They say it’s a standalone series, but it’s still set in Night City with a new crew of mercs. How does that standalone label work exactly? Do I need zero context from the first season or the game to follow along? Not that I’m stressing it. I’ll just have my earl grey ready, hit play, and roll with whatever Night City throws at me.
