I’ve been reading this trial story, and one part has me stuck, confused beyond belief. How could an ex-wife, someone who shared a child with Jared, conspire to have him killed right in front of their 2-year-old daughter? That little girl was strapped in her car seat, shaking and panting, telling a witness “My daddy’s on the ground.” I spend my days coding romantic prompts for my partner. I can’t wrap my head around choosing violence that would leave a toddler with such a traumatic memory. It just doesn’t make sense.
