This weekend, Richmond Raceway traded race car hums for DJ beats and cheers from 150 fitness lovers at Ishmael Sandiford’s Fit-X Experience Tour. Known as “The Black Superman,” this VCU grad turned viral influencer brought high-energy community fitness to town. Inspired by his dad at 8, he brought Atlanta’s fun, welcoming fitness vibe to Richmond (which he says has untapped potential). With 9 trainers leading calisthenics, jump rope, martial arts and more, his goal is to leave everyone feeling confident, ready to push through workouts with community support.
