Whatever happened to this bespoke V8-engined Aussie supercar?
Ever heard of the forgotten Aussie supercar that nearly took on Ferrari and Pagani? Back in the late 90s, Matthew Thomas’s Joss Developments aimed to put Australia on the global supercar map. Their JT1 prototype had a 6.8L V8 and sub-tonne curb weight, but found more fame in games like *Forza* than real roads.
In 2011, they rolled out the restyled JP1 with an Aussie V8 Supercar engine, yet 2014 crowdfunding failed due to spiraling costs and too few orders. By 2017, the prototype was sold, and Joss faded into obscurity. Such a bittersweet underdog tale! Got a forgotten supercar prototype you wish had made it? Share in the comments!
