Leapmotor B05 review: I drove the £29k electric hatchback with 300 miles of range
🙋♀️ Sick of every new EV being an SUV? You’re not alone—meet the Leapmotor B05, a no-fuss electric hatchback under £30k (£28,995 exactly). Part of Leapmotor’s UK lineup (partnered with Stellantis, alongside the T03 city car and SUVs), it’s an electric alternative to the Ford Focus or Vauxhall Astra.
Tested for German Car of the Year, it has 300-mile range, rear-wheel drive, 30-80% charging in 17 mins and loads of standard kit. But flaws include dull cabin colours, tiny boot, awkward key system, overly light steering and no rear wiper.
Would you overlook these for the great value? Is that missing rear wiper a dealbreaker? Let’s chat!
