Lamborghini's New V-8 Supercar Outmuscles Its V-12 Big Brother in Our Acceleration Testing
Ever thought the pricier, bigger supercar is unbeatable? Lamborghini’s 2026 Temerario flips that script. Nearly 10 inches shorter and $200k cheaper than the V12 Revuelto, it uses an Audi-assisted aluminum spaceframe instead of carbon fiber. Under the hood: a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 (789hp, 10k rpm) plus three electric motors, totaling 907hp. It hits 60mph in 2.1s (0.1s quicker), 100mph 0.2s faster, and finishes the quarter mile 0.3s ahead at 150mph. Slightly slower at VIR due to less grip, but straight-line king. Would you pick the faster, cheaper Temerario or stick to the iconic V12 roar?
