The real way to measure 18 years of GTA graphics? Seagulls. 🕊️
Forget the cars, the lighting, the water physics. Someone lined up the seagulls across three GTA games and it tells the whole story better than any tech demo could.
GTA IV (2008): That's not a seagull, that's four white triangles having an argument. Looks like someone forgot to load the actual model and shipped the placeholder.
GTA V (2013): An actual bird now. Feathers, a shape, something standing on the ground like it has a reason to be there. Still looks like a bird doing a bird's job.
GTA VI (2026): Individual feather texture. Speckled juvenile plumage. A stare that judges you for sitting on its boat seat.
Eighteen years, three console generations, and Rockstar's background wildlife somehow tells you everything about where game development went.
💬 What's your go-to "small detail that reveals how far graphics have come" example? Doesn't have to be GTA. 👇
