Weekly Updates on Rise of Castles (27th @2026)
This week, a few things came up in the community: some alliances completed registration but couldn't find their names in the published map list; some players reported that the Specialization Reset expected at season start didn't appear in their backpack, and weren't sure whether it had been delivered; Thorvi's Shadow Flurry damage multiplier was adjusted from 100% to 50% in SX29, and players wanted to know why; and Eden matchups showed significant power gaps, with some players reporting an entire season of being outmatched — or outmatching — with no real competition on either side.
The impact was direct: you finished registration, checked the map, and your alliance wasn't listed — first thought is "did we even get registered?"; Eden started and you couldn't find your Specialization Reset — unclear whether the system missed it or the delivery method was different from what you expected; Thorvi was one of the most talked-about heroes going into the new season, and a sudden multiplier adjustment naturally raised questions about why; and a full Eden season where every matchup felt one-sided made players wonder if the matching even considered actual gameplay experience.
Here's where each one stands: the Eden map list published in the community only shows the top 10 alliances per faction — it's not the full participant list. The complete lineup is now available in the in-game season event interface, and we've also posted the full list in the comments section; Specialization Reset was actually distributed normally — in some cases it doesn't enter your backpack but instead shows as available directly in the Specialization interface; Thorvi's Shadow Flurry going from 100% to 50% was a balance adjustment based on testing; this Eden's matchmaking has been reviewed by the planning team and the results remain within the designed framework, but we're continuing to collect actual match experience, especially concrete cases of extreme power gaps.
Several lords' feedback helped us work through these issues faster. @WickedNash provided the alliance name Legita and state number 416, letting us pull the exact registration record. @ooChony43 was the first to report the Specialization Reset not arriving after Eden started, and confirmed that relogging didn't help — ruling out a client cache issue. @Balinor' wrote out the specific pre- and post-adjustment values for Shadow Flurry along with real combat impact, giving the design team concrete reference points. @PassionFruit…. submitted feedback with attached battle reports and power comparison data, turning this season's matchmaking gap from a general "unfair" complaint into something with actual evidence to work with.
Thank you. Alliance names, state numbers, screenshots, specific values, battle reports, power comparisons — this information is what makes issues traceable. The more specific, the faster we can resolve it.
Eden Map List: Missing Alliance Names — Registration Is Valid, Full List Available in Game
After Eden registration closed and the map was published, four alliances reported not seeing their names on the published list. All four had completed registration, and internal records confirmed it — so the concern was: did registration fail, or was there a faction assignment error?
The short answer: registration is valid, and faction assignments are complete. The map list published in the community only shows the top 10 alliances per faction. It was never the full participant list.
The complete faction lineup is now available in the in-game season event interface sidebar. You can find every alliance in your faction there. We've also posted the full list in the comments section of the original announcement for easy reference.
If you still have questions about your alliance's registration status, submit through Support with your alliance name and server number — @jiangnian will check each one.
Specialization Reset at Eden Start: May Not Appear in Backpack — Check the Specialization Interface
Three players reported not seeing the expected Specialization Reset in their backpack when the new Eden season launched. This reset is an automatic season-start benefit that shouldn't require any action from players.
After checking: in some cases, the Specialization Reset doesn't appear as an "item" in your backpack. Instead, it shows up directly in the Specialization interface as available. This is especially common when obtained through season benefits — players may not see a corresponding item in their inventory and assume it wasn't delivered.
If you've checked the Specialization interface and still don't see an available reset, please submit through Support with your account info and server number — @jiangnian will verify each case.
SX29 Thorvi: Shadow Flurry Adjusted from 100% to 50%
In SX29, Thorvi's Shadow Flurry skill damage multiplier was adjusted from 100% to 50%. This sparked discussion, particularly from players who saw Thorvi as a potentially mid-spender-friendly hero and wanted to understand why the change was made.
This was not a reactive nerf triggered by any single battle report — it was a balance adjustment based on testing results. During testing, Shadow Flurry's overall output at 100% exceeded current-version expectations — particularly in specific compositions and combat pacing — with potential to disproportionately affect the competitive environment in the early season. The design team adjusted the multiplier to 50% so that Thorvi retains meaningful combat value while preventing one skill from clearly outpacing other options at season launch.
Once Thorvi enters the real combat environment more fully, we'll continue observing her actual performance. The conclusion right now isn't "we're never touching it again" — it's "let her perform in the season environment at the adjusted value, then evaluate based on combat data and player feedback whether fine-tuning is needed."
If you have thoughts on Thorvi or the current cavalry combat environment, leave them under this topic. Specific compositions, battle reports, and skill trigger results are more useful than "too strong" or "too weak." @jiangnian will post any follow-up here.
Eden Matchmaking: Results Reviewed, Collecting Real Match Experience
Three reports this Eden centered on the same concern: matchup power gaps were too wide. Some players spent the entire season being dominated; others spent it dominating — neither side had a real contest.
This kind of feedback isn't just about winning or losing. The real issue is: when most of a season has no meaningful opposition — one side can't advance, the other side has no pressure — that Eden isn't a good experience for either side.
This season's matchmaking results have been reviewed by the planning team. Looking at overall faction strength, server distribution, and the matching framework, the results are within the designed parameters. No anomalies requiring an immediate rollback or rematch were found.
But to be clear: within the designed framework doesn't mean every alliance felt evenly matched on the field. Faction totals, core alliance activity levels, participation timing, willingness to fight, and tactical coordination all amplify real-match gaps. The "can't compete" or "nothing to compete against" that players experienced can't always be explained by matching parameters alone.
So we'll continue collecting specific cases. If you have feedback on this Eden's matchups, please be as specific as you can: which server, your alliance name, the approximate power level of your opponents, which phase of the battle, and where the gap showed up most — raw power, numbers, active hours, rally strength, or map push speed. Specific descriptions help us identify whether the issue lies in matching, activity gaps, or the season mechanics themselves.
A note on how to submit feedback. For specific issues — missing rewards, account anomalies, order problems — please use the Support module with your account info and the time of the issue. Comments are good for adding observations, asking about public progress, and sharing experiences, but aren't the right place for handling account data.
The most useful information when submitting: account ID, server number, time of the issue, activity or item name, alliance name, screenshots, battle reports, or order receipts. The more complete, the faster the responsible person can narrow things down.
This week's follow-up contacts include @jiangnian and @Lambert. They'll see comments under their respective topics; for individual data verification, Support tickets remain the primary channel.
Thank you to every lord who has continued to follow ROCs and share feedback.
