Lego didn't just build a life-size Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear. It drove it at 111 km/h
LEGO built a full-size, drivable Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear — and took it to Goodwood to set a new speed record for a brick-built car.
The same test driver who set the hill climb record in the real Sadair's Spear got behind the wheel. Same circuit. Same configuration. New record.
327,906 LEGO pieces. 9,400 hours to build. Ghost Mode works — press a button and the rear body lifts, the doors swing open, the mirrors fold flat. All of it functional.
The build was made to celebrate the launch of the new LEGO Technic 1:8 scale set (42232, 4,104 pieces, available July 4).
The full-size car goes on a global tour. You can't buy it.
