1. The Spurs built the wrong kind of record. San Antonio made 14 three-pointers in the first half — an NBA Finals record. They led 76-49 at the break. Every metric pointed to a Spurs win.

2. The Knicks ran a 20-4 Q4 heist. Down by 20 with 9:33 left, the Knicks didn't die quietly. Brunson found lanes. Anunoby hit corners. By 4:32, it was 99-95. Brunson pulled up from 26 feet with 2:21 left and buried it. 104-103 Spurs.
