URGENT: Matchmaking Crisis & Player Retention – Bracket 1057–1076
To the Development Team,
We are writing on behalf of the active player base and leadership within the 1057–1076 bracket. Currently, our bracket is in a state of critical stagnation. For the past 8 to 12 months (since Season 3), the competitive environment has effectively collapsed, leading to a rapid decline in player activity.
The Core Problem: A "Dead" Ecosystem
The current matchmaking constraints have created a repetitive and non-competitive environment.
Event Fatigue: CoP and K.E. feature the same small pool of opponents (1057–1097) every cycle. Without fresh competition, these events have become stagnant chores rather than highlights of the week.
Lack of Engagement: Major events like Treasure Island, BoH, and Eden now suffer from extremely low participation. There is no longer a sense of urgency or challenge to drive activity.
Player Attrition: We are seeing a daily exodus of active players. Crucially, top-tier spenders are ceasing investment, as there is no competitive incentive to grow in a dead bracket.
Proposed Solutions for Matchmaking Recovery
We are not asking for easier matchups; we are asking for active ones. We are willing to face stronger, more established states if it means restoring the competitive thrill of the game.
Expanded Eden Matchmaking: * Option A: Immediately merge our matchmaking pool with the 1037–1056 bracket to inject new life into the map.
Option B: Implement a strategic "Extended Off-Season" to allow our states to build Specialty Points, followed by a transition into X12 matchmaking with the 1077–1096 group.
Wider Event Brackets: Broaden the matchmaking logic for CoP, TI, and BoH to include a larger variety of states.
Final Assessment
The community in 1057–1076 is at a breaking point. If matchmaking remains restricted to these same stagnant brackets, this will be the final season for the majority of our active alliances and spenders.
We love this game and want a reason to stay, but we need meaningful competition to justify our time and investment. We look forward to seeing corrective action taken for the upcoming season.
Respectfully,
The Leadership and Players of States 1057–1076
