Technological research provides powerful buffs and bonuses to lords, making it of paramount importance. Research is conducted within the academy; with sufficient resources, upgrading the academy will accelerate research.

The three technologies—[Rapid Production], [Town Development], and [Basic Combat]—are the most fundamental. If resources are plentiful, it's recommended to unlock them all, and the faster you max them out, the greater your early-game advantage. If resources are limited, you can develop your character according to your chosen profession.

Tips: Prioritize unlocking the first point "Courage Recognition" in [Basic Combat]. After unlocking it, you have a chance to get Courage Medals when fighting monsters. Upgrading technology will require a lot of Courage Medals, so unlock it first.


farmer:
Most lords choose the Farmer profession in the early game when resources are scarce, as it provides a significant resource bonus. We recommend that lords choosing the Farmer profession prioritize completing the "Where There's a Will, There's a Way" technology under the "Rapid Production" perk to improve resource production stability and output, providing ample resources for upgrading necessary buildings in the early game.

Recommended research order: Rapid Production > Town Development > Basic Combat

merchant:
In terms of resource acquisition, it's similar to the Farmer profession. However, Merchants also need to increase gold production, so I recommend prioritizing unlocking the "Midas's Touch" in the "Town Development" section to increase gold output. Of course, both Farmers and Merchants need a certain level of combat strength; in the early game, it's advisable to prioritize unlocking the "Hero Appointment" in "Legion I" to facilitate hunting monsters and gathering resources.

Legion Commander
Legion commanders frequently engage in combat and resource plunder, thus requiring them to enhance combat strength and gain benefits from battles. It is recommended to prioritize unlocking the first row of [Basic Combat] technologies to improve monster-hunting ability and combat rewards. Afterwards, additional improvements to combat strength are needed; it is suggested to prioritize "Hero Appointment," "Hero Synergy," and "Hero Leadership" in [Professional Legion Research]. Completing these three technologies allows the legion to deploy three heroes, which is crucial.

Because the legion commander often fights and has wounded soldiers, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the treatment tents. It is recommended to unlock "Hospital Expansion", "Church Hospital", and "Medical Equipment" in "Medical Improvement" to increase the upper limit of the number of wounded soldiers that can be accommodated.

Recommended research order: Basic Combat > Town Development > Rapid Production > Professional Legion Research > Medical Improvement
