All You Need to Know About Gear Factory
Hey, Commanders! It's Catherine here, your Last Fortress expert. Lately, the Gear Factory has undergone an overall upgrade. I'll show you all you need to know about the upgraded Gear Factory!
In the upgraded Gear Factory, you can forge gear of four rarities: Standard, Premium, Epic, and Legendary.
- The materials required for different qualities vary; the qualities of the gear obtained from different types of forging can also be different; the higher the quality, the more precious the materials required.
- All materials required for the new Gear Factory are new materials, which can be obtained by completing transport orders or pillaging Transport Vehicles in the "Doomsday Transport" event.
- When choosing Epic or Legendary forging, try to input some Catalysts to increase the probability of getting Rare Gear.
- After successfully forging gear, the Gear Forger will be overheated and will need to cool down for a while; the cooldown duration will be determined by the quality of the gear forged.
- The higher the quality of the gear forged, the longer the cooldown time. You can use Coolants or Freezers to shorten the cooldown.
Moreover, some new features, "upgrade", "working", and "splitting", are introduced to the new Gear Factory!
- "Upgrade": Upgrade the Facility to speed up the cooldown (Max: 18%), reducing the cooldown time of an overheated Gear Forger.
- "Working": Dispatch heroes to work in the Gear Factory to speed up the cooldown (every 100 pts of STR can speed up the cooldown speed by 1%).
- "Splitting": You can choose to split gear into either Tin Blocks or Catalysts.
The upgraded Gear Factory has a bigger chance of producing Epic Gear! You'll be able to forge the gear for the upcoming season in advance as well!
What's new about the upgraded Monthly Gear Card:
- less Catalysts needed in gear forging;
- higher cooldown speed for overheated Gear Forger
- Enhanced rewards for [Doomsday Transport];
- Old-edition Monthly Gear Cards that are still valid will be automatically converted to new-edition Monthly Gear Cards.
Here are some more tips that you might find helpful.
- The old gear forging materials cannot be used in the new gear forging section (please refer to the in-game instructions for specific recycling info).
- Without any cooldown bonus, the Gear Forger will take 5 minutes to cool down after forging a piece of Rare gear, 1 hour for a piece of Elite gear, and 6 hours for a piece of Epic gear.
- Coolant/Freezer can only be obtained from bundle purchases.
- Catalysts can be obtained by splitting gear.
